The "PIC" device is a equipment based on a digital camera that operates with special software developed by Progelta to perform control of the Progelta cushion group (PSD) in order to optimize mold filling
The system meets the main conditions for an ideal casting, which we report here:
a. Rapid filling of the pouring channel basin.
b. Pouring basin full during filling time.
c. Good final level of the pouring basin at the end of casting.
d. Reduced dimensions of the pouring channel (metal volume).
e. Automatic centering of the pouring basin (optional).
PSD
The PSD stopper movement is powered by a brushless electric motor, enabling dynamic and fast response, ensuring precise positioning. The PSD can be lifted up to 500 MM, aiding maintenance operations by allowing rotation out of the nozzle, freeing the entire area and enabling easier access for nozzle replacement.
